Child Passenger Safety
Sgt. George J. Cuchran is a certified child safety technician. He has been certified through AAA and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Citizens contact CRPD Headquarters to set up an appointment with Officer Cuchran to learn how to properly install a child restraint system.
In 2006, Sgt. Cuchran performed seven (7) car seat checks of residents who came to CRPD Headquarters.
Two (2) car seat checkpoints were scheduled and performed in 2006. These checkpoints were performed at Key Pontiac and Star Pontiac. Sgt. Cuchran made contact with many parents and their children through these programs.
