The Colonial Regional Police Commission is the governing and policy making body. The Chief of Police answers directly to the Commission and is charged with the overall supervision of the Department. Bath Borough, Hanover Township and Lower Nazareth Township are each represented by two (2) elected officials from the municipality. One (1) representative from each municipality is the Primary Delegate and one (1) is an alternate. Each municipality has only one (1) vote on Commission matters. An alternate can only vote on an issue in the absence of the primary delegate. Commission Members annually elect a Chairman, Vice-Chairman and a Secretary-Treasurer. The Commission annually appoints a solicitor and a person to be the Commission Recording Secretary. Chapman Borough contracts with the Commission for police services on a yearly basis and does not have a vote in the affairs of the Commission; however they can have two elected officials present at the meetings who can join into discussions.
