SUDS Program
The SUDS Program was made possible by a grant from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board of $4,843.20. The program entailed two (2) officers assigned to areas where underage alcohol use could be curtailed. In compliance with the grant, three (3) area liquor stores had to agree to participate in the program. Those stores were:
Tanczos Beverages – Hanover Township
PA Wine and Spirits Outlet – Lower Nazareth
D & R Beverage – Lower Nazareth
The SUDS Program was run eight (8) times in 2006. The results were:

April 8 – Tanczos Beverage – 7 individuals contacted

April 14 – PA Wine and Spirits Outlet –
Two (2) arrested for Underage Possession of Alcoholic Beverages
One (1) arrest for Furnishing Liquor to Minors
April 21 – D&R Beverage, Tanczos Beverage and the PA Wine and Spirits Outlet – 9 individuals contacted
April 29 – Tanczos Beverage and patrolled area parks on foot.
May 19 – Due to area high schools having Proms, four (4) officers performed undercover surveillance at the local youth hangouts and patrolled area parks on foot.
May 26 – Tanczos Beverage, local youth hangouts and patrolled area parks on foot.
One (1) arrest for Operating a Vehicle while Drinking from an Open Container
An underage drinking party was discovered which resulted in ten (10) Underage Drinking Arrests
May 27 – D&R Beverage, AJ Beverage and PA Wine and Spirits Outlet.

One (1) arrest for Possession of Narcotics
