The 2006 recipient of the Colonial Regional Police Association痴 Scholarship Award was Mr. James O誰eill of Lower Nazareth Township. Mr. O誰eill is a freshman at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, majoring in accounting. Mr. O誰eill qualified for the scholarship by writing an essay on the role of police in the community. Sgt. George Cuchran, who spearheaded the contest, PNC Bank Representative Doris Snyder and Association President Officer Michael Munch presented a check for $1,000 to Mr. O誰eill at PNC痴 branch in Hanover Township.
The Colonial Regional Police Association collected funds for the scholarship by holding their Fifth Annual Golf Tournament and Dinner. PNC Bank contributed $100.00 towards the scholarship.
